Flexible Volt Driven or Free Mode Input Event Capture


The HDI-050 digital input module has 4 groups of 16 digital input channels with common returns. Each group of 16 channels is configurable to operate in voltage source or volt free mode with jumpers. In volt free mode, the wetting voltage is supplied at the module front connector.

The HDI-050 module provides optical isolation with bi-directional inputs for all input channels covering a field voltage range of 19 to 72V DC.

    • The diagram below shows an example of the wiring necessary to connect the HDI-050 module to the plant equipment in volt-driven mode. This wiring is the recommended method for this module when used in volt- driven.

      The recommended termination board for this card is either the TDI-040 (32 channels) or the TDI-051 (64 channels), please refer to the module sheet for additional information.
